Energized helpers from Target joined us at camp and helped paint, drywall and build bunk-beds at Manuka. The group was so impressed with our organization and camp that they are going to recommend additional groups from Target join us in our maintenance efforts.
Thanks to six volunteers from Americorp the basement of Kikewagon which is now ready for summer camp crafting. Thanks to Dan for painting all the bases of the tables and attaching the tops. If you hadn’t been in the basement before please note this is an amazing improvement and we can now be proud to have kids use the space.
In addition to cleaning the basement the Americorps team cleaned both the large sleeping cabins, scrubbed the BIFFY in the main camp area, scrubbed the Watona bath house, painted lots of stuff and laid all the bags of sand on the beach. THANK YOU!!!
